Spirit

I can’t express how important it is to start your day with Quiet Time – time spent in prayer, reading God’s Word, and journaling.  If you tithe your money and give God the first fruits of your income, shouldn’t you also give Him the first fruits of your time?

I know a lot of men that think journaling is only for women – like writing in a diary.  They couldn’t be further from the truth!  This is a time to gain wisdom, to express gratitude and concerns in prayer, and reflect on past journals that will show you how God has been speaking to you.   Whether you spend 15 minutes or 50 minutes each morning, just be sure to make this time unrushed and undistracted.

“Morning by morning he wakens me and opens my understanding to his will.” Isaiah 50:4 NLT

“Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray.” Mark 1:35 NLT

Here is an exercise that I received that I highly recommend – “Listening to God.”   The first time I tried it, I had three pages of notes written down!

These are some additional resources that I’ve found very beneficial in my walk with the Lord.
